The power went out in my office this morning and I had in instant flashback to the last instance caused by the Columbus wind storm.
AEP estimated that the power would be back on by noon at the earliest. It powered up after only about 45 minutes. I was literally walking down the hall around 10 a.m. to go home for a couple hours when it came back on. What a let down.
This is the same office that lost power for only about an hour during the wind storm.
Now let’s hope it stays on.
Ugh. Luckily Tiff is a candle person.
Power’s out so I cut the grass. Now it’s time for a little reading.

My site was down all last night. I called my new ISP, HostMonster, and they said it was from a lightening strike. Here’s their official word from an e-mail this morning:
Due to a catastrophic power failure, some HostMonster servers are currently without power. Sprkus.com is currently hosted on one of these servers. Rocky Mountain Power is working to replace hardware as quickly as possible. The current ETA from Rocky Mountain Power is 7:30pm MST. This outage is affecting most of Orem, Utah making it a top priority.
The outage occurred approximately 5pm MST. We were able to prevent data loss as the server you are on was safely shut down under backup power. We apologize for any inconvenience and will have your service restored as quickly as possible.
This site appears to be back up already. Here’s hoping it stays that way.
