Bengals 18th Most-Favorite Team, Browns 13th

Growl. The Cincinnati Bengals are the 18th most-favorite team in the NFL of adults who watch professional football according to a report by HarrisInteractive.

The Bengals, who in 2005 ranked as low as 30 out of 32 teams, have jumped 12 spots in two years — most likely due to the so-called success the team has had in recent years.

The Cleveland Browns, despite a general belief that they have one of the largest fan bases in the NFL, are only the 13th most-favorite team in football. As recently as 2004, they ranked 24th.

Bengals Get Permission To Shoot Birds In Stadium

Bengals Bird PoopThere’s a lot of crap flying around Paul Brown Stadium lately — And I’m not talking about the recent play of the Cincinnati Bengals.

NFL Adventure With Bell To Browns Stadium

Bengals v. BrownsBell and I had an NFL adventure Sunday, leaving from Columbus at 7:30 a.m. to drive to Cleveland and watch the Cincinnati Bengals play the Cleveland Browns.

Bell was able to score two tickets from Katie’s cousin and we set off for Cleveland Browns Stadium prepared to watch the Bengals kick the absolute crap out of the lowly Browns.

Prior to the trip, Bell and & decided to wear our Bengals gear despite going to an opposing team’s home field. Even after hearing stories of spectators cheering for opposing teams getting beer, and even urinate, sprayed on them, we decided that the Browns fans weren’t expecting to win the game and therefore would be a little less confrontational.

20Q Knows Bo Jackson

20Q.netThe weekend was a bit slow with news I would normally touch on in this blog.

I refuse to bore you with my thoughts on my Cincinnati Bengals draft results or how Brady Quinn died a little inside when he was drafted by the Browns (just kidding Gerrit). And after the Virginia Tech incident, I really shouldn’t touch on the irony surrounding the Kansas City shootings which occurred directly in front of a Target store.

Actually, does a shooting incident in front of a Target store even qualify as irony? Let’s consult that Alanis Morissette song: “It’s like rain on your wedding day. It’s a free ride when you’ve already paid.” Now I remember my English teacher in high school lecturing us students about how nothing described within that song was in fact irony. I’m confused.
