Housekeeping

Apparently, some users of Internet Explorer were having trouble viewing this Web site lately. The header and side columns would show, but the middle column — you know, the one with all the posts — was missing and jumbled at the bottom of the page.

So I switched to the default WordPress theme while I find a new look.

I think software updates knocked the old theme out of usability. I also noticed that the theme switch has cured a problem I had with my blog and Flickr communicating with each other.

So pardon my blog’s mess while I update the theme and explore Flickrizing my gallery.

That’s why they call it work

Work’s still kicking my butt lately. I’m redesigning the company Web site and completing other publications. Also, I’ve recently been working on updating my resume and researching new job opportunities to see what’s out there.

All this explains the slow down in site posts.

In the meantime, if you liked the photo in the previous post, here are more of the same. Some of them are pretty hilarious.

Blog celebrates first birthday

Blog BirthdayHappy early birthday to the blog, which turns 1 on Saturday, Feb. 9, the date I wrote my first blog entry.

The blog underwent a lot of changes in the last year, at one point even switching software platforms entirely to Movable Type before it was moved back to Wordpress. But I’m happy where it is today.

Just this week I launched a podcast, on which I’m still trying to work out the kinks.

Let’s face it, it’s just a hobby of mine. And if I happen to entertain those who check out the site, then that’s just a bonus.

Thanks for reading.

Sprkus TV launches

I’m happy to announce the launch of Sprkus TV, a podcast you can watch on your iPod or view online.

The first episode is a video already posted in the video section, but polished up a little. The subscription link for the podcast will be available in the next few days.

You can view the episode online at www.Sprkus.com/tv.

UPDATE: Sprkus TV has been canceled. But you can still download the first episode for your iPod in the Video section.

Wedding Web site officially launched

TiffanyAndRick.comIf my engagement didn’t seem real enough before, now it’s going to seem … real … er.

The official wedding Web site, TiffanyAndRick.com, has been launched.

There you will find all the information for the big event as it becomes available.

For now you can drop in, sign the guestbook and register for the official wedding mailing list which will keep you informed on important updates.

Extended holiday

After a slow blog week caused by the Thanksgiving holiday, Monday morning begins my two weeks of jury duty.

Unfortunately, the Web site updates will probably continue to be sporadic over the next 14 days until my schedule gets back to normal.
