What I’m playing: Guilty pleasure
Hello, my name is Rick and I play World of Warcraft. There I said it. That’s one of my characters above. His name is Romney and he’s a level 70 paladin on the server of Azjol-Nerub. That’s Ironforge in the background, home of the dwarves.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I’m a geek. I like gaming, what do you want from me?
Anyway, I tried the game out after seeing the the episode of South Park which made fun of the game and its players. It was my first MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) and I was instantly hooked. I played for about a year and a half and quit when I got my hands on an Xbox 360 and a big telly.
About a month ago I reactivated my Warcraft account have have been playing pretty steadily. Blizzard is about to release an expansion to Warcraft on Nov. 13 so I’m excited to check that out.
Also begging for my playing time however is Fable II for the Xbox which was just released Tuesday. I loved the first game so I gotta get my hands on the sequel. I also want to check out Dead Space. I canceled my GameFly account so I’ll just have to purchase Fable. And, of course, I play Madden when anyone challenges me to a game — even taking the time to beat my friend Gerrit in the middle of Baumann’s birthday party.
