If your IM software leaves something to be desired, or is dead to you altogether, you may want to give Digsby a shot.
Digsby works with AIM, MSN, Yahoo, ICQ, Google Talk, Jabber, and even Facebook chat, so there’s no reason to be left out of friends on, say, Google because you use Yahoo.
It also lets you know if you have any new e-mail on Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo Mail, AOL/AIM Mail and even POP accounts without having to log in.
And even cooler, it informs you of new notifications on Facebook, Myspace or Twitter.
It’s really quite a convenient little program. The only hangup I’ve found so far is that it’s not compatible with the new Facebook layout so you’ll have to convert back to the old one. I’m sure a fix will be released very soon, however.
