Listening to Patton Oswalt’s standup comedy on my iPod on the way back from Cincy yesterday, I first herd his bit about the Chipmunks Christmas song.
He said when he was a kid, he had the song on LP and he would slow the speed of the record player down. When he did so, the Chipmunk voices would sound like normal guys singing “Christmas, Christmas time is here…” and David, the human guy, would sound like the spawn of Satan: “AaALViIiiiNNNn!”
I fired up Audacity yesterday and slowed the song down by 50%. Here’s what it produced. Hilarous:
