When browsing the Internet, beware being the victim of a new scam sweeping the nation. It’s called being “Rick Rolled,” and it’s a bane to mouse clicks everywhere.

To be Rick Rolled is to be duped.

When surfing the Internet, whether it be forums or blogs or sites, the surfer is offered a link to something really great. Like a real video of UFOs or the freshly rumored Kristin Davis sex tape.

But when they click on the link, they are directed to a video of 80s singer Rick Astley singing “Never Gonna Give You Up.”

A number of videos of people being Rick Rolled can be found on YouTube. This video of somebody being tricked, however, is the one that started the trend. It’s hilarious.
