Woman pryed from 2-year stint on toilet
A woman in Witchita, Kan., had to be surgically removed from a toilet seat after living in her boyfriend’s bathroom for two straight years, according to an AP article posted today.
Ness County Sheriff Bryan Whipple said the woman had been sitting on the toilet for so long that her skin had grown around the seat.
“We pried the toilet seat off with a pry bar and the seat went with her to the hospital,” Whipple said in the article. “The hospital removed it.
“She was not glued. She was not tied. She was just physically stuck by her body.”
The woman’s boyfriend, Kory McFarren, 36, identified the woman as Pam Babcock. He said he would bring her food and water every day and ask her if she wanted to come out of the bathroom.
“And her reply would be, ‘Maybe tomorrow,’” Whipple said. “According to him, she did not want to leave the bathroom.”
When police arrived Babcock was fully clothed but had her sweat pants pulled down to mid-thigh. It appeared as though her legs had atrophied, Whipple said.
