Arrested Development movie talks confirmed by Bateman, Tambor

Arrested Development

Jason Bateman and Jeffrey Tambor, who played Michael and George Bluth Sr., respectively, on Arrested Development have both recently confirmed that talks are underway to produce an Arrested Development movie according to Yahoo! TV.

The cast has reportedly received calls from producers Mitch Hurwitz and Ron Howard inquiring into their interest to make the movie.

“I can confirm that a round of sniffing has started,” Bateman said in the Yahoo! article. “Any talk is targeting a post-strike situation, of course. I think, as always, that it’s a question of whether the people with the money are willing to give our leader, Mitch Hurwitz, what he deserves for his participation. And I can speak for the cast when I say our fingers are crossed.”

Tambor himself confirmed on XM Radio’s “Ron and Fez Show” that Howard approached him to do an Arrested Development film.

Insiders say that Hurwitz has a good, solid understanding of the potential script and Universal is very interested.
