In yet another instance of a trend men my age wish was happening in the early 1990s, a high school teacher was busted having sex with a student.
Beth Ann Chester, a 26-year-old health and physical education teacher at Moon Area High School in Pittsburgh, was accused of sending two nude photos of herself to a 14-year-old male student via cell phone.
Chester admitted to having sex with the boy upon being jailed on charges of sexual abuse of children, corruption of minors and related counts for sending the teen nude pictures and salacious text messages.
It gets better, er, worse.
Moon Township Police Chief Leo McCarthy said in an MSNBC article Chester “confessed to having full sexual intercourse with this child in her vehicle in the school parking lot” after a school event.
And Chester is married to a coach at Penn State University’s McKeesport campus.
The boy said their three-month relationship started in October with text messages. They then arranged to spend more time together at school. Chester called the boy “sexy” in one text message and made a “graphic reference to his body.”
When I was 14, the only thing I got from my teacher was detention. That probably had a lot to do with the fact that my grandmother had me convinced I should wear a mullet.
“Oh, I like it when you grow it out in the back,” she’d say.
Also, though I was already around six feet tall at the time, I barely surpassed 120 pounds. I don’t know how I didn’t break more often.
