I’ve taken one more step in my increasing age maturity.
I deleted my profile on Myspace.
I never used the site anymore. I would log in to confirm I had no new messages about once a week and that was that.
Plus, I turn the big 30 later this year and I felt I needed to delete the profile before that birthday hit. Kind of like the same reason I will no longer be able to purchase and drive a Jeep Wrangler. Only having more to do with Chris Hansen’s “To Catch a Predator” than being that old guy driving a Jeep. Yes, the same reason I retired my backwards white hat … and the brown leather jacket.
So, if you’re a Myspacer and you noticed my profile disappear, I didn’t de-friend you. Relax.
Speaking of social networks, Hugh Hefner announced recently that he’s stepping into the ring with the launch of Playboyu.com. The new social networking site will be fully clothed and is targeting college students.
In a consequence that must have been completely overlooked by Heffner, the models and strippers more closely associated with the Playboy won’t qualify on either account.
