We Score A Three-Bedroom House

The hunt is over.

Tiffany and I plan to move in together at the end of July and have been searching for an apartment for the last month or so without much luck.

We wanted a townhouse to avoid the greater amount of neighbor noise that comes from having someone living above or below you, but were finding that all of the nicer ones weren’t available.

We were looking in Victorian Village, German Village and Upper Arlington and via an ad in Craigslist of all places (see “Craigslist User Reports Me As Abuser“), found a house available for rent in Upper Arlington between Lane Ave. and Fishinger Rd.

It’s a smaller house, but it’s a house! Not an apartment that comes with other tenants. Three bedrooms means out of town guests get a bedroom all to themselves. The basement’s finished, equipped with a built-in entertainment center and a separate office.

So basically, I’m just moving in the basement and Tiffany gets the upstairs. The third bedroom’s pretty sweet because it’s in the upstairs of the house all by itself. Not sure yet if we’ll make that the guest bedroom or keep it on the first floor. All brand-new appliances.

Plus, there’s a fenced-in backyard so I’ll eventually be able to convince Tiffany to get a boxer pup. I think I’m just gonna have to surprise her with one one day.

Sorry, I don’t have any pics of the house, so you’ll have to see it when we throw our house-warming get together in August.
