Look out, kiddies. It’s actually happening.
Variety.com reported recently that a Thundercats movie is underway.
Warner Brothers has optioned a script to create a CGI-animated feature.
I never was a big fan of the cartoon or toys when I was a kid, opting for Transformers and G.I. Joe instead, but the cartoon seems to have a very supportive fan base.
It’s a good move for Warner Brothers to go with computer-generated characters in the film. I just don’t see how they could pull off a live-action version of an already overly cheesy cartoon without the movie looking completely ridiculous.
It is entertaining to think who they would cast to play each character in a live-action version, however.
One thing’s for sure. With the popularity of the Cat Attack video, it’s clear who would be chosen to play Lion-o:
