The studio producing the movie “Speed Racer” released this photo (hi-res version) recently of the Mach 5 and now I’m not sure if the Batmobile or this car would is the #1 vehicle of my dreams.
I’m not talking about the latest batmobile from “Batman Begins,” but the original batmobile from Michael Keaton’s original batman back in the day. I still think that thing was crazy awesome.
Assuming both cars could really do what their fictional versions are supposed to do, it would still be a very hard decision.
Back to the “Speed Racer” movie, I was not aware it was being produced so I was quite excited to stumble upon the news and I had to share.
It will be released in May of 2008 according to IMDB.com and will be directed be the Wachowski brothers, the same duo that directed the “Matrix” trilogy and “V is for Vendetta.”
Speed will be played by Emile Hirsch from “The Girl Next Door,” Matthew Fox or Jack from “Lost” will play Racer X, Christina Ricci will play Trixie and John Goodman will play Pops.
No word yet on whether Verne Troyer will play Chim Chim.
